Sanjay is an IIT-Delhi graduate and an engineer by profession, with 30+ years of senior executive experience at Schlumberger, where he led complex projects and managed global operations. His career has taken him across 8 countries, giving him a deep appreciation for diverse communities and effective leadership.

As a Telfair, Sugar Land resident for 10 years, Sanjay has been deeply involved in local governance and community service. He has served on the Telfair HOA Board for 4 years, including the latest 3 years as Board President.

LEADERSHIP IN TELFAIR HOA​
As Telfair HOA President, Sanjay was instrumental in bringing positive changes to Telfair HOA operations. He worked to:

Develop an environment of trust and cohesion amongst HOA delegates to work as a team towards community goals

Foster transparency, financial stability and efficient project execution as core pillars of HOA governance

Improved community amenities while reducing HOA fees to amongst the lowest in Sugar Land

Strengthen the HOA's financial reserves and securing its future

ADVOCACY AGAINST THE SUGAR LAND POWER PLANT
Sanjay has also worked tirelessly to amplify the voice of residents. During the Sugar Land Power Plant debate, he:

Led residents in raising concerns about the Power Plant to the Sugar Land City Council and the SL Mayor, emphasizing the lack of transparency and environmental impact

Spoke at the New Territory town hall and later organized and led a town hall for Telfair residents

Helped mobilize residents, leading to the project's cancellation

COMMITMENT TO SUGAR LAND'S FUTURE
Sanjay has been married to Ruchi for 35 years, and together, they have built a home in Sugar Land with their 2 sons and daughter-in-law. The Singhal family is proud to call Sugar Land home and is committed to keeping it one of the best places to live in the nation.

Now, Sanjay is running for Sugar Land City Council to bring the same professionalism, transparency, and resident-focused leadership to city management. He is committed to ensuring Sugar Land remains safe, sustainable and suburban and making sure residents' voices are heard in every decision.
