Sanjay won the first round with the most votes (38%!), but since no candidate reached a 50% majority individually, there is a run off election.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN DISTRICT 2?​
Sugar Land City Council District 2 consists primarily of 3 neighborhoods - Telfair, New Territory and a part of River Park.​ Official district mapping from the City of Sugar Land (COSL) can be found here

WHAT DOES CITY COUNCIL DO?
The Sugar Land City Council is made up of 7 members - 1 mayor, 2 at-large council members (who represent the entire city), and 4 district council members (who represent a specific district in the City Council. Sanjay is running for District 2 - encompassing New Territory, River Park and Telfair.
